Nick Ringma was born in Holland, grew up in Vancouver, and graduated from Simon Fraser University. He is a counselor and has served the Last Door Recovery Society since 1996.He published a collection of poems, Still and Still Moving (Xlibris 2017). The poems provide a glimpse into the turning moments in recovery coupled with a combination of the landscape of suffering and the glorious new days that accompany every sunrise in a new place.

Ringma has contributed to Credo Magazine, and published in journals and periodicals including Dandelion and the Banner. He won the EPA award for poetry in 1995.
