With co-author John Bennett, former editor of Inuktitut magazine, Susan Rowley, associate professor of anthropology & sociology and a curator at UBC's Museum of Anthropology, wrote a comprehensive account of Inuit life in Nunavut prior to extensive contact with southerners, Uqalurait: An Oral History of Nunuvut (McGill-Queens, 2004 $75; 2008 $34.95). It consists of thousands of quotations organized thematically into chapters.
