BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS: Born in Edmonton in 1952, Saunders entered the University of Alberta in 1970 in the Faculty of Commerce but graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geomorphology in 1977. He moved to Calgary in 1978 and began working in the Petroleum industry. He worked in both petroleum exploration and development for Calco Resources and Suncor Inc., later working as a consultant in the same industry. He began writing The Cydonia Codex in 1998 with co-author George J. Haas.
