Ted Stone is a humourist who was born in 1947. His collections of tall tales include It's Hardly Worth Talkin' if You're Goin' to Tell the Truth and Hailstorms & Hoop Snakes. He edited Thirteen Canadian Ghost Stories and his first collection for children is The Ghost of Peppermint Flats. He moved to Saltspring Island from Manitoba in the late 1980s, then later left B.C.
