Mary Warkenton and Rose Ann Rohn self-published The Story of Renata 1887-1965 (1965), as a tribute to community near Dog Creek, near the Arrow Lakes. When dams were built for the Columbia River Treaty, the Arrow Lakes rose and Renata disappeared in 1969 with the building of the Hugh Keenleyside Dam. Other vanished communties included Syringa Creek, Deer Park, Broadwater, Edgewood, Burton, Carrol's Landing, Graham's Landing, Arrow Park, Glendevan, Shoreholm, St. Leon and Arrowhead.
