Constable J.B. "Tich" Watson attended RCMP College in Regina in 1941, was promoted to Sergeant in 1947 and was a senior NCO at the time of amalgamation with the British Columbia Provincial Police. He retired in 1952 and started a nursery on Vancouver Island. Former publisher Gray Campbell edited Watson's memoirs of police work for Yukon Memories: A Mounties's Story (Whitecap, 1993).
