Simon Marinker's Reducing the Risks of Surgery: Safeguards, Alternatives and Newer Techniques follows Informed Consent to Surgery. With 50 years experience as a surgeon and diagnostician, Marinker (b. 1913) highlights legal and medical aspects of common operations. He has been Chief of Surgery at Victoria's Royal Jubilee Hospital, president of the B.C. Surgical Society and chairman of the BCMA's General Surgery Section. (In 1979 Fforbez Enterprises also published Surgery: Yes or No? by West Vancouver fitness author Natalie Rogers.)
