Biography: Educated in England and spent eight years as a pilot in the Royal Navy. Partner and manager of a yacht repair yard in Antigua, West Indies 1966 - 73. A lifelong sailor, both racing at international levels and offshore with over 180,000 nautical miles, including a circumnavigation and 5 Atlantic crossings. Moved to Vancouver in 1973 and was a principal in two major yacht dealerships until retirement in 2004. Author of numerous sailing magazine articles.
