Nev Munro, self-publisher of Caveat Emptor, a satirical account of the Vancouver Stock Exchange, has died of Parkinson's disease at age 76. Born in Vancouver on July 22, 1927, George Neville Munro played on the UBC basketball team that won a Canadian championship in 1948. It formed the nucleus of an amateur team that represented Canada at the Olympics in London, finishing ninth of 23 nations. Munro retired from legal practice in 1987 as a senior partner of Munro & Kingsmill. Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at age 60, he also published a 1994 memoir entitled Exiled to Parkinson's Domain.
