A LOCAL GURU WITH THE UNLIKELY name of Robert Augustus Masters has published his second book, Love Must Also Weep ($16.95), from the Xanthyros Foundation of West Vancouver.
Masters is the guide of Xanthyros, "a dynamic yet sweetly subtle crucible wherein the fire of the awakening process can do its work."; The Xanthyros community holds revelatory meetings, operates a children's school and promotes "ever-deepening transfamily intimacy.";
Love Must Also Weep is a novel that "plunges with open eyes into the very core of Life, again and again finding expression at a level deeper than mind, a level aglow with exquisitely articulated integrity and self-illuminating passion." Masters is described in the book as a "psychospiritual trailblazer, and shamanic visionary."
A collection of Masters' essays and incantations, The Way of the Lover (Xanthyros) was released last year.
