Former Sacramento counsellor and group home director Barry Davis of Quathiaski Cove was born in San Jose, California in 1946. Following many years as a teacher in Terrace and Campbell River, he self-published a self-help book, You Are Allowed To Be Happy (Heinemann Education, 1990), suitable for schools. He presented self-esteem presentations for grades 2 to 7.
