Born in Edmonton in 1947, she moved to B.C. in 1963. She now lives in Courtenay. A family practitioner and member of the Vancouver Industrial Writers Union, she reveals the day-to-day emotional life of a doctor in How Do You Feel? (Sono Nis, 1992), a poetry collection based on her experiences as a family doctor who specializes in obstetrics.

Are We There Yet?, her 1988 chapbook published by Dollarpoems, Brandon University was illustrated by Heather Speers.

Her poems have been published in MD Magazine, the Medical Post and BCMA newspapers, BC Medical Journal, and literary magazines including Room of One's Own, Event, and Poetry Canada.
