As principal of Green College and a professor of Law and Sociology at UBC, Ericson co-edited Governing Modern Societies (UTP, 2000), with Nico Stehr, co-edited Risk and Morality (UTP 2003) with Aaron Doyle and co-wrote the first major sociological study of the hidden world of the insurance industry, Insurance as Governance (UTP 2003) with Aaron Doyle and Dean Barry.
