Her verses include superblocks, gas stations, fast food joints, six-lane highways and wildfire smoke as experience markers from life stages spanning childhood to motherhood.

Hubbard's poetry, fiction, reviews, and interviews have been included in journals and such as Canadian Literature / Litterature canadienne, Room, The Capilano Review, Canadian Woman Studies, CV2, filling Station, and others. She holds a B.A. in English and Communications from Simon Fraser University, and a certificate in journalism from Langara College. She lives in Chilliwack.
