Born on October 30, 1952, in Vancouver, B.C., self-published Jacob Eric Stathers of Stathers & Associates LLC is a third generation British Columbian who divides his time between Lillooet in the summers and Bellevue, Washington, in the winters. He is the eldest grandson of Eric Prince Stathers who served as Wrecking Foreman and Superintendent of the Pacific Great Eastern Railway (P.G.E.) in Squamish from 1929 to 1965. Prior to establishing Stathers & Associates LLC, Eric served in management and consulting roles at Microsoft in Seattle, Oracle/PeopleSoft in Silicon Valley, several software startups, and as a management consultant and environmental consultant in British Columbia. Lillooet-raised, he has an M.B.A. and B.Sc. in Agriculture (Soil Science) from the University of British Columbia and is a graduate of the Stanford University Executive Management Program. Stathers is the author of books related to British Columbia that cover wide-ranging topics such as railroad wrecks, sailing clippers, steamships, horticultural nurseries and fly fishing.
