Not many poets can claim to have poetry collections in esteemed journals as well as hockey columns in sports magazines. Curtis LeBlanc is one such writer. His work has appeared in the Malahat Review, Prairie Fire, EVENT, Geist, Arc among others. He is also an occasional hockey columnist for NHL Numbers. His debut poetry collection Little Wild (Nightwood $18.95) was followed up with Birding in the Glass Age of Isolation (Nightwood $18.95). The latter explores the social implications of social illness and asks questions about the effects of anxiety on behavior.
