A postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia, Jane Lister examines the role of the state in corporate social responsibility (CSR) - within the context of forestry - in Corporate Social Responsibility and the State: International Approaches to Forest Co-Regulation (UBC Press, 2011). She argues that CSR should be a supplement, rather than a substitute, for state regulation.
