As a Georgia Straight food and restaurant columnist, Angela Murrills wrote and edited a guide to dining in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland entitled Food City: Vancouver (Polestar, 1998) with an introduction by James Barber. She later published Hot Sun, Cool Shadow: Exploring the History, Mystery, and Food of the Languedoc (Raincoast, 2004), illustrated by Peter Matthews.
