Parfitt is a regular contributor to BC Business Magazine, the Georgia Strait, the Times-Colonist and other publications. As a resident of Victoria, Parfitt also wrote Forest Follies: Adventures & Misadventures in the Great Canadian Forest (Harbour, 1998).
