Karen Phillips has published two sci-fi novels as part of a trilogy where Earth has been visited by aliens for thousands of years. The main protagonist, SaRiah, uncovers family secrets that take her on an epic journey through time and space, discovering a world she never knew existed.

Phillips has been writing stories, poems and songs for most of her life. Growing up as a military child, she spent much of her life sharing her own story as she moved from place to place. As an adult, her job took her to a variety of small locations all around BC, where she continued to share her story. Living in places like Tahsis, Lytton, Lillooet, Sechelt, Port Hardy and Quesnel provided experiences from different communities, cultures, traditions and people, all contributing to the richness of Phillips' characters.

Karen Phillips lives in Kelowna.
